“Anne is the first French teacher who made me feel relaxed about speaking French in a group setting. She gently corrected our errors in pronunciation, instructed us on words and phrases that would help us better describe works of art, and demonstated how close examination of a painting would help us see the artist's techniques. Standing in front of a Sargent painting with Anne, I suddenly saw this master's work in a whole new light. Now, instead of quickly walking through a gallery, I have slowed down, as I practice the observation skills that Anne has taught me. Voila!.”
